Revoltech Suzuki

Thanks to Ryanski Akira Saotome for the Revoltech Yamaguchi Suzuki toy! Its know wreaking havoc in our studio with its 4-face cube head.

Revoltech is an action figure line from the Japanese company Kaiyodo. "Revoltech" is a portmanteau for "Revolver Technology," in reference to the unique "Revolver Joint" articulation which all of the figures utilize. This gives the figures a wide range of motion and stability, allowing for many dynamic and varied poses.

Aside from the massive selection of sushi and ramen, they have an interesting menu that takes the order by just pressing the orange button on the menu with a special pen. Then after you press it, the pen which has a speaker will repeat the order in an anime voice.

Soft shock in Singapore

The Making of Urbandub's The Apparition

Congratulations again to Urbandub for their latest album entitled "The Appartion". We haven't received our copies yet for both special edition and regular edition, but we are posting the developments for the album packaging that we did for them in collaboration with Nicc Balce of The-Null fame. The illustrations was based on Gabby Alipe's story behind the album and its songs. A girl seeing a light on the woods, following it, encounters the villain, fights back then meeting the Apparition.

The Long Saturday

Its unusual for us to meet up at the studio on a Saturday morning, but we need to register at 12 noon for the James Jean signing at Fully Booked High Street.

We arrived around 1 pm due to the traffic caused by the preparations of the World Pyro Olympics that will also kick-off later that evening and we have no idea. We received our line stub (signing will start at 6pm and we are @ number 55), and book passes. If you want James Jean to write your specific dedication on the book, just jot it down on the pass and insert it on the page you want him to sign. We just find it strange...hehe. Instead of waiting the whole afternoon, we attended Isa Lorenzo's talk over at Silverlens


They are one of the most organized folks we know when it comes to filing....

Yesterday was a tense filled day, aside from the public storm signal #3 raised on Metro Manila, we won the Best Album Packaging for Sugarfree's "Mornings and Airports" @ the 14th NU 107 Rock Awards. Thanks to the band, their management, and the good folks from Polyeast Records (former EMI Records) - boss willie and ms. ethel. Also congratulations to Ebe Dancel for winning as best vocalist and to UpDharma Down for sweeping the 2009 Rock Awards. Here is the complete list of the results..

We recently took a trip to Saizen (japanese term for "best choice") a japanese one-price retail store located at the East Lane 3rd level of Robinsons Galleria. The massive store holds tons of cool Japan merchandise priced at P85 pesos each. We spent almost 1 hour checking each item the massive store has to offer, here is what we purchased...

Creative Collab behind the scenes

Inksurge collaborates with Vince Uy, Cathy Cantada, Kai Huang and Christina Dy for Manila’s Design Week – Creative Collab exhibition held in Greenbelt 5, Makati. We explored the idea of reversing the design process of a fashion editorial – type, cropping, shoot then creating a 3d form of the actual product.
