Kaunlaran magazine is a bi-monthly magazine for employees and friends of San Miguel Corporation by the Corporate Affairs Office. The magazine is an informative newsletter on SMC’s social responsibility initiatives, programs to improve employee welfare, good customer relations, and to ensure that San Miguel’s products, process and practices are environmentally safe and friendly. Inksurge was commissioned to design the cover along with a special infographics poster/ insert celebrating the 120th years of San Miguel. Still lot of things to do, watch for more of our works for SMC. Full feature of our work will be posted on our next update.
Minor updates on the website, including our recent FedEx illustration project and Bratpack website, plus new press including OFFF's - Aim High, Keep Moving Anniversary book, "How to Use Images" by Laurence King Publishing, and Celebration Graphics Sourcebook by Rockport
We apologize for the lack of updates, first - our Internet connection has been on and off on the past few days, second - our server strangely rolled-back to the year 2009 (including website and emails), third - lots and lots of pizza munching action, and fourth- our crazy schedule for work....we can't wait to finish all of this and update our site!
Thanks to Kimi of YoCards for inviting us to judge Visuals With Visions II, here are some of our favorites Congratulations to all the winners! Instant food rations for the baristas... Favorite of the week - Pizza Hut "Buy One Take One" promo for only 499 (we've been munching pizza since last week..) Oh Gulay... Oh Supreme Lord Pizza... Earlier today, we visited our favorite printers, PRIMEX (its been almost a year since our last visit...). They have lots of new machines and we are excited for the possibilities of it. A minute prayer against LAZINESS... The very clean work area with lots of big machines... Then finally, after 6 months of using the temporary permit, we finally receive the original... Okay, its time to get busy again...
We haven't seen our work on the actual night itself, but we are glad to submit and design one for Manila Sound Remix...our assignment was to rework classic Pinoy Rock icons Maria Cafra. They already have a nice vinyl cover during the days, but we wanted to make it bolder and more stronger.... Original vinyl cover (photo credit: Nostalgia manila)
Spotted this crazy mushrooms @ Ateneo Also try to visit the Ateneo Art Gallery...the piece of Leslie DeChavez is amazing... Just look at the details... Its a gloomy day @ Ortigas..we hope to see the sunshine later..
With all the challenges faced by print publishing these days, to reach 100 consecutive issues of a bi-monthly magazine is quite an achievement – and it's all down to you, our invaluable readers! In appreciation of your tremendous support, we have come up with our biggest-ever article to celebrate this milestone. We have asked 10 top-of-the-class creatives to answer a couple of questions – how do they view today's design scene, and what advice would they offer newcomers to it? Not only that, but our Top 10 have been generous enough to pick out 10 peers whose work they believe deserves greater prominence for your enjoyment. A feast of inspiration, then, for everybody in the art and design business.
